Indigenous leaders with innovative renewable energy solutions

We found this fantastic article that shares stories of several Indigenous leaders in Canada who are initiating renewable projects in their communities. It is part of the 2024 Catalyst program to help First Nations, Inuit, and Métis start up clean energy projects. After participating in the program and attending conferences across Canada, these leaders become “catalysts” and mentors, leading the charge for renewables in a way that makes the most sense for their local communities.

It also provides positive employment opportunities, mentorship, and opportunities for energy sovereignty throughout Turtle Island.
