Alberta residents received an emergency alert over the weekend as the extreme cold strained the grid. The response was reduced electricity use while the grid struggled to generate enough power during frigid temperatures throughout the province. Thankfully, the grid has recovered after the extreme cold over the weekend prompted the threat of rolling power outages.
